Dear studio family,
The safety and health of our dancers and staff is our first priority. Anyone who is feeling unwell or showing signs of illness should stay home, in accordance with current provincial policy (see below for further details). The following policies and procedures follow the guidelines of the Sudbury and District public health unit and Ontario’s provincial COVID-19 regulations, and will be updated as needed. Thank you for your cooperation.
COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
UPDATED September 10, 2022
Mandatory self-screening
Everyone (staff, students, parents/guardians, other friends/family members, etc.) entering the studio building must self-screen for COVID-19 prior to entering. Recommended guides are the Ontario school screening tool, your workplace screening tool, etc.
Staying home from classes
In accordance with current provincial guidelines, anyone experiencing cough, fever, a runny nose or an upset stomach – with or without a positive COVID-19 test – should stay home until any fever is gone and any other symptoms have been improving for 24 hours (or 48 hours in the case of gastrointestinal symptoms).
Mask wearing at the studio…
In accordance with current provincial guidelines, masks are optional but strongly encouraged for anyone entering the studio building. Furthermore, provincial guidelines recommend those with respiratory or other symptoms to mask in public (e.g. at Sudbury School of Dance) for 10 days after the onset of any respiratory or other symptoms. Provincial guidelines also advise anyone who is in contact with someone who tests positive to wear a mask for 10 days when in public.

The ‘What ifs’…
What if my child will be absent?
If your child won't be able to attend class (either in person or online), please use our ‘absence form’ found under the ‘Current students’ tab on the studio website. Please do not email with absence information as the teacher/instructor may not get the message on time.
What if the studio is ordered to close?
If in-person classes are cancelled due to provincial or local order, or for another mandated reason, we will move all classes online. If the closure continues into the next term, you can choose to withdraw from classes before the start of the next term. No credits or refunds will be given for the term in which the closure occurs.
