earthdancers is a non-profit contemporary dance organization run by students. For over 26 years, earthdancers has promoted environmental awareness and has raised funds to give to environmental causes through annual benefit performances.

earthdancers was founded in 1989 by Sunny Dixon, Heidi Strauss and Stephanie Thompson.  They conceived the idea of holding a benefit performance of modern dance and donating all the proceeds to organizations dedicated to improving the enviroment.  Since then, the passion and mandate of the group has been continued by student dancers year after year.  Passing the torch in their love of dance and concern for our world, several generations of youth have offered their time, their talent, their heart and their dedication to continuing the work of earthdancers.  

Over the years the group has donated over $150,000 to environmental causes.
